In the early 1970’s Zahir Rana used to be a mechanic at Hemlock Texaco in Vancouver BC. He then joined Nickelodeon Jeans in Calgary in approx. 1982 when there were 5 stores in existence. Zahir was taught how to do buying for these stores as he only experience was being an Auto Mechanic.
In 1987, he fled Canada to the UK to avoid the bankruptcy of Nickelodeon Jeans. In the meantime, he opened a jean store named Oaktree in the West Edmonton Mall. This happened to be the same store that Nickelodeon operated out of. He managed to avoid putting this store into bankruptcy by lying to the trustee. In order for him to successfully do this he had Allisun Taylor (currently his wife, Allisun Rana) pretend to own this store in 1987. Just a few months before, Allisun Taylor used to be a sales clerk at Nickelodeon Jeans at South Center Mall in Calgary. There he promoted herself by being Zahir Rana ’s lover who, at that time was married to Nimed Rana and had two children.
Thinking he was home free, Zahir decided to leave England and return to Canada but was arrested by the Canadian RCMP in Vancouver. After being imprisioned, he was handcuffed and flown to Calgary to be examined by the bankruptcy trustee of Nickelodeon. During the examination Zahir Rana confirmed he was a simple auto mechanic and had no knowledge about the affairs of Nickelodeon as his younger brother was responsible for that company. He also stated that he had no knowledge of Nickelodeon’s assets including inventory all the while his little girlfriend, Allisun Taylor owned the store with free inventory (as she had no money being a sales clerk) in the West Edmonton Mall.
Zahir Rana and Allisun Taylor also opened a Saturday’s store in Surrey, BC using Nickelodeon’s hidden inventory. After having stores filled with free, stolen inventory and no debt they were able to rapidly expand and open stores across Western Canada and borrowed money from a banker named Steve Murphy working out of Treasury Branch in the West Edmonton Mall Canada.
A few years later they decided to pull the same stunt again and closed down all of their jean stores. Zahir Rana and Allisun Taylor pulled out as much cash as possible and opened up Pawnshop Superstore located at 3520 17th Avenue S.W., Calgary. They even pulled out enough money so Allisun Taylor could file a false declaration to the Alberta Treasury Branch in order to make a small payment and walk away from her personal guarantee. Zahir Rana and Allisun Taylor also used that money to send Allisun Taylor to law school. Leaving all the creditors of Oaktree Jeans and Saturdays holding the bag.
Zahir Rana with his expertise in bankruptcy, filed two back to back bankruptcies although he was the beneficial owner of businesses including the Pawnshop Superstore at 17th Avenue SW in Calgary. He owned these businesses through nominee owners.
Stay tuned for more updates of how Zahir Rana and Allisun Rana continually manage to even defraud Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) with false information. How they launder money and borrow money including from their landlord (who will be named in the next release). Pay interest payments in hard, tax free laundered cash.
